Threadify’s "From Design to Market" Apparel Brand Incubation Program Launched in Collaboration with Dongguan

On August 29th, Threadify and Dongguan Group opened the first session of the "From Design to Market" apparel brand incubation program. Seventeen designers, brand owners, industry veterans, and textile supply chain partners spent nearly three hours in Dongguan discussing brand incubation, resource matching, and where the market is headed.

The event marked the debut of the Dongguan x Threadify designer brand incubation base, and the official start of recruitment for the first batch of designer brand projects.

Inside the Dongguan x Threadify Incubation Base

The session doubled as the open day for the Brand Incubator Base at Dongguan Golden Future Building. The base is built to do three things at once: share industry content, match designers with resources, and recruit the first wave of incubated brand projects.

Ms. Elva Cai opened the event. Mr. Zhang, head of Dongguan Group, followed with an introduction to the park layout and the industrial resources behind it. He confirmed that Dongguan Group will give designers free workstations, computing power support, policy application assistance, and resource matching at the base, part of a broader push to build out a full designer incubation service system.

40 Years in Apparel, One Platform: BETTEX and Threadify

Ms. Cai returned to the stage to share more than 40 years of experience in the apparel industry, from brand building to transformation consulting to founding a designer platform in Keqiao. She walked attendees through the global footprint of headquarters BETTEX and the core positioning of the Threadify fabric marketplace platform.

A company video followed, giving the room a clearer picture of Threadify's platform capabilities, global reach, and digital tools for fashion supply chain management.

Designers Speak: Real Challenges, Real Solutions

Every guest introduced themselves and shared a perspective. Topics ranged from space operations to the real challenges designers face when starting a brand, from industry service gaps to internationalization paths.

A free discussion followed and ran for close to an hour. Attendees traded views on internationalization strategy, content operations, university-enterprise cooperation, and how emotional value shows up in consumer buying decisions. The range of input gave the base plenty to build on.

From Discussion to the Showroom Floor

To close, attendees toured the fabric and accessories showroom on the second floor, moving from theory straight into hands-on browsing. It was a fitting end to a session built around one idea: designers need more than visibility. They need their work produced, sold, and chosen by the market, again and again.

Apply to Join the Incubation Base

This was the first session, not the last. The Dongguan x Threadify apparel brand incubation program is now recruiting its first batch of designer brand projects.
