School-Enterprise Collaboration | Students and Faculty from Zhijiang College Visit Threadify

On October 9th, 50 students and faculty from the Fashion and Apparel Design program at Zhijiang College of Zhejiang University of Technology visited Threadify. Mr. Wei Licheng, head of Human Resources and Administration, welcomed the group and accompanied them throughout the visit.

Touching the Materials in the Fabric & Accessories Supermarket

Led by Mr. Wei, the group first walked into the 5,000-square-meter Fabric & Accessories Supermarket. Surrounded by a wide range of fabrics and trims, students got up close, feeling the texture and physical character of each material for themselves.

Seeing Fashion in Real-Life Scenarios

Next came the 5,000-square-meter Designer Co-Creation Space, where sample garments are displayed by scenario, such as home yoga and outdoor sports. Moving through the zones, students could see how clothing connects with everyday life, and took away plenty of creative inspiration from the real garments on display.

Inside the Central Sample Room

The group then stepped into the central sample room to see first-hand how garment pattern-making and production actually run day to day. The visit ended with students exploring on their own, getting a further feel for the industry in real operation.

Building a Bridge Between Campus and Industry

The visit gave students a hands-on chance to get close to the front line of the industry, and gave the school and Threadify a channel to talk to each other.

Looking ahead, Threadify hopes to build long-term connections with more schools, working together on co-developed courses and practical study programs, so more students can step into the industry and see it first-hand. Together, we want to push forward industry-education integration and support the next generation entering the field.
