This Saturday, July 18, bring your child to a parent-child craft workshop at the heart of Keqiao's textile industry. In two hours, families will design and hand-make their own patchwork bag, guided by professional instructors, right inside one of Keqiao's largest fabric hubs.

Inside the Threadify Fashion Complex: Keqiao's Textile Treasure Chest

Keqiao is known worldwide as a distribution center for textile fabrics, and Threadify sits right in the middle of it. The Threadify Fashion Complex spans 10,000 square meters and includes a 5,000-square-meter fabric and accessories supermarket alongside a 5,000-square-meter co-working space for designers.

Inside, families will find thousands of fabrics sourced from more than 200 local Keqiao textile companies, from cotton and linen to velvet, denim, and functional fabrics. This summer, Threadify is opening that space to children, giving the next generation a chance to understand the story behind a piece of cloth by touching it themselves.

A Family Sewing Workshop Built Around Real Fabric

On July 18, Threadify is teaming up with Huaying Communication Studio to host the Parent-Child Craft Workshop: Create a Bag of Joy. Families will start at the Threadify Fabrics and Accessories Supermarket, picking their favorite materials from thousands of options.

From there, instructors in the designer co-working space and central pattern room will walk each family through cutting, piecing, and sewing their own handmade bag from start to finish. It's a simple, tactile way to spend an afternoon together and come home with something made by hand.

Take a seat in the common area, swap ideas, and talk through your design choices with other families. A relaxed moment to connect over a shared creative process.

Bag Decoration (15:40 - 16:10)

Personalize your finished bag with hand-sewn floral motifs, embroidered labels, and beads, turning it into something that's genuinely yours.
