Threadify Welcomes Future Fashion Communicators: An Immersive Industry–University Learning Experience
December 3, 2025 | Event
On December 3rd, Threadify opened its doors to 82 first-year students and faculty members from the Fashion Communication program of Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages, transforming an ordinary class into an inspiring glimpse into the future of fashion, technology, and media.

What followed was an immersive journey through the heart of Threadify’s ecosystem, designed to help students understand their major from a real-world perspective and spark ideas about their long-term career paths.
A Hands-On Introduction: From Fabrics to Finished Fashion
The visit began inside Threadify Fashion Complex’s fabric and accessories supermarket, where Director Cai introduced students to our one-stop solution for designers.

She used a simple yet memorable analogy. She said, Threadify works like a kitchen—once the “recipe” (your design) is ready, all the “ingredients” (high-quality fabrics, trims, and sample production resources) are already here. This end-to-end ecosystem helps brands and designers turn creative ideas into physical products faster and more efficiently.
Students later visited our designer co-working hub, where Ms. Cai showcased sample pieces made with eco-friendly and functional materials. This sparked conversations around sustainability, material innovation, and how technology is shaping the future of garment development.

Industry Insights: Necessary Skills for a Successful Career
In the conference room, Ms. Cai delivered a value-packed session titled “Talent Demand in the Fashion Industry in the New Branding Era.”
She highlighted a key shift. Today’s fashion industry no longer wants single-skill specialists. It needs multi-functional talent who can create content, understand data, and collaborate across teams.

She encouraged students to start practicing early — experimenting with personal accounts, documenting campus life, or exploring niche topics to build real skills in planning, content creation, and analytics.
“Self-branding isn't about posting randomly; it’s purposeful sharing,” Ms. Cai emphasized.
“Every post helps you grow your creative thinking and operational abilities.”

Adding to this, Ms. Shen shared practical advice, “Start now, even in your first year. The earlier you try, the easier everything becomes later.” She reminded students that social media today doubles as both a creative outlet and a professional portfolio.
In her closing words, Ms. Cai offered a powerful message, “The fashion industry has never lacked people who ‘understand fashion’—but it urgently needs people who can make fashion visible through media skills. Your strengths in copywriting, content operations, and data analysis are exactly what the industry is looking for.”

Collaborative Learning: Bridging Classroom and Fashion Industry
This visit served as more than a field trip — it was a meaningful step forward in the growing partnership between Zhejiang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages and Threadify.
By transforming real workplaces into classrooms, the program allowed students to gain firsthand experience, understand emerging industry demands, and reflect on their own future paths.

This school-enterprise collaboration model, learning through doing and thinking through industry feedback, embodies a new approach to cultivating modern fashion talent.
Looking Ahead
Threadify is committed to empowering the next generation of fashion communicators. We hope this visit planted seeds of curiosity, ambition, and creativity in every student who joined us.
