On October 20, Threadify welcomed a delegation from Applied Technology College of Soochow University, to explore new opportunities for collaboration in education and industry integration. The visit marked a meaningful step toward nurturing innovative, market-driven design talent through practical, project-based learning.

The university team — including Dean Fu Jufen of the Applied Technology College of Soochow University, Director Qian Jibing of the Business Development Department, Dean Cha Weida of the School of Culture and Tourism, Vice Dean Yin Xuefeng of the School of Culture and Tourism, and Chen Dongmei of the Clothing Department of the School of Culture and Tourism — was warmly received by Wang Juan, Threadify’s Vice General Manager; Cai Peihua, Design Director; and Wei Licheng, Head of HR and Administration.

From Fabric to Garment: A Hands-on Experience at Threadify’s Fashion Complex

Guided by Teacher Cai, the Soochow delegation began their journey in ‘Threadify Fashion Complex’, home to tens of thousands of material samples. They then explored the Designer Maker Space, where inspiration meets commercialization — learning how creative ideas evolve into market-ready designs through precise alignment with real consumer needs.

The tour concluded in the core sample room, offering a first-hand view of Threadify’s seamless production process — from design concept to finished garment. This immersive experience showcased Threadify’s closed-loop industrial ecosystem, bridging creativity, technology, and craftsmanship.

Threadify Building a Bridge Between Industry and Academia

During the roundtable discussion, Deputy General Manager Wang introduced Threadify’s business model and digital innovation strategy. Both parties shared valuable insights on "platform empowerment and collaborative education between schools and enterprises", emphasizing the importance of synchronizing academic training with real-world market dynamics.

Together, Threadify and Soochow University aim to:

  • Form joint faculty-student project teams
